STRAWBERRIES!
32 qts to be exact. Do you have any idea how much food you can make with 32 quarts of strawberries?? Here's the breakdown:
4 qts frozen berries
6 qts 'perfect' berries to give as Happy Easter gifts
14 pints of strawberry jam
8 1/2 pints of apple strawberry jam
2 strawberry pies
1 recipe of fresh strawberry sorbet
2 quarts cut and sliced and put in the dehydrator
We'll probably make THESE when the dehydrator is done with the fresh slices
AND, there are still 6 quarts left in the box...what else can we do with do them?
We're feeling SO blessed to have benefited from your haul today! So I have to ask... how much does 32 quarts of strawberries cost? What does that even look like? I've never seen that many! How long was Tim in the kitchen? What were the kids doing while he cooked? Who made the pies because if he did I'm leaving my husband and just moving me and the kids into the barn! :) Happy Easter and thanks again!
