Mine and Jodie's kids go to the same preschool, Emmanuel Preschool. It's the great little place in Webster Groves that has been around for decades. The first time I walked into the building 3 years ago, my first thought was "this is how a preschool is supposed to be". It's just 3 rooms for 3, 4, and 5 year olds with 2 teachers per room and 1 director. Perfect combo of Kindergarten prep and learning socialization.
Each year, Emmanuel has a Kids Carnival to raise funds for improvements to the school. It's a community event with pony rides, bounce houses, fresh grilled food and fun booths for kids of all ages. You want to come now, don't you? This year it is on May 7th from 11am-2pm. Mark your calendars! Jodie and I were assigned the booths for this year. We decided to make new signage for each booth and liven up the look while providing signage that will last longer than 1 year.
So, we put the kids to work painting.
We painted cardstock with bright, fun colors.
JODIE took the papers that looked like this when dry...
And turned them into this...!!!!
Seriously, come to the Kids Carnival if you live anywhere close by! It will be fun, promise!
