Project 52 #12: Rubber Duckies

This week was #12!  A whole 3 months of bringing smiles to others...and us!  This week was one of my favorites.  We took mini rubber ducks and distributed them around Webster Groves' puddles.  After the days and days of rain this spring, not to mention the severe storms, there were lots of puddles in our town.
The kids ready for action!  It was always a race to see who could find the next puddle and who's turn it was to put their duck in.  We were happy to have an extra kiddo this week: Kate, an honorary member of the Allen family!

While we were searching for puddles, we also found some trash.  The kids were superstars about picking it up and finding a close trash can.
After we exhausted Webster's puddles, we went to Powder Valley in search of more.  We did find a couple:
See the lone duck here?
We also found some real wildlife:
It was a great day of hunting for puddles and trash and replacing one with the other.  We hope that the people who came upon the ducks, stopped to pick it up and saw the writing on the bottom of each one: "A Rainy Day Smile".  Because that was our mission.
