How Times Have Changed

Yesterday while cleaning out a drawer, I found a journal that I kept from our first year of marriage.  Just a few short notes every day to remember what we did that day.  Yesterday, on May 12, 2000 here is what happened:

I read some decorator magazines while Tim roofed my parent's house.  I took a great nap and we had Ted Drewes ice cream on the way home.  That night before bed I took a bubble bath.

Who is this girl???  I barely remember those days.  I would take any ONE of those things during my day for 2011.  Reading for leisure, napping, eating ice cream out and taking a bubble bath.  Those were the days...not that I would change my current situation for anything...but just one day I'd like to be able to have some time to myself :)

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
