Yesterday held a first for our family. Lydia participated in her first communion! Since we have two kiddos now that know what it means to love Jesus and know their need for a Savior, we (all 6 of us) walked to the front of church together to partake in the Lord's Supper. I carried Maria and Tim served Ahren and Lydia while Annie watched. Then Maria cried because she didn't get a 'bite' :)
While Ahren was being served, he whispered to Tim: "is it ok to cheat on my diet?" Yes, son it's ok. He then took the smallest bit of bread from the loaf that he could and dipped it in the grape juice. Such a sweet heart he has, my boy.
It was so meaningful to go to the table together, as a family. Such grace the Lord has bestowed on us, on me. To love me so much to die for me, and then to give blessings beyond measure. I'm truly humbled.
