A "Flip-open-the-Bible" Moment

Today I tried to steal a couple of minutes seconds of quiet time.  I flipped open the Bible to Psalm 144.  Allow me to give a loose translation of verses 1-2.

NIV: Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle.
Me: Praise be to the Lord my Rock, while my hands make dinner and my fingers bandage skinned knees.

NIV: He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold, and my deliverer, my shield in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.

Me: He is my loving God and provides me with a warm house, caffeine and pizza delivery, because my very being needs sometimes to hide, thankfully he subdues these children at about 7:30pm every night.

Praise be to Him!
