This week we went to Sarah Care here in Webster Groves . A description from their website reads: SarahCare Adult Day Services offers a day program that provides respite for family members who care for loved ones at home. We took the books that were donated and we took the kids. Even though the staff assured us they would love the books, can you guess who was the bigger hit? The KIDS! There were about 10-12 senior adults there for the day. They were SO excited to see our littles. One lady named Thelma kept saying how it took her back to her days of teaching elementary school. We sang songs, read books and colored with the participants.

Our friend Angie joined us this week with 2 of her daughters, Kate and Lauren. Grayson, Maria and Kelsey are missing from this picture, but aren't they cute? Not the kids, the seniors in the background!!

This was such a great time to share with these older adults. Most of them were thrilled we were there and the activity director said she saw some of them smile and clap that never express any emotion. The power of a smile from a child!! I was so proud of the kids: they weren't shy and spoke up and sang loudly! They even added a little comedy to their routine. Watch this!
