A weekend of Baseball

Earlier this summer, we bought two tickets through Groupon for the Gateway Grizzlies.  We finally used them on Friday night.  What a great time!  We were 4 rows behind the home team dugout and had a great view:

The ticket came with admission, hot dog, soda, chips, $5 in Grizzly bucks and 10 pitches at the batting cages.  What a steal (pun intended!)  We bought two additional tickets for the two kids that needed them and everyone had a hot dog for dinner.  They scored 7 runs in the first two innings - lots of things to see.

Even Maria had a great time.  I expected her to go to sleep since the game didn't even start until 7:05 which is her bedtime.  But, she lasted the entire night until 9:30!  We will definitely be buying more Groupons for this event if it comes around!

On Saturday we were given tickets to the Cardinals game from a friend who preferred to stay home and watch the Alabama football game on TV.  The Cards game was a bust and they lost...again, but it was beautiful weather and we were with good friends.

Annie told me today that she loves baseball.  So glad, because it's a fun family outing!
