Honesty and Integrity.
"May integrity and honesty be their virtue and their protection" (Ps. 25:21)
I don't think children have trouble being honest, for the most part. Just the other day, my son walked into a neighbor's house after being invited in and said "wow, your house is a mess!" Ummm - can't really recover from that. Where in life do we make the transition from being brutally honest to not saying what we're thinking to outright lying to cover our tracks?
