Update on Ahren
We took Ahren to the new homeopathic doctor yesterday. She was very nice and had some good ideas on what to pursue next to help Ahren's migraines disappear. I need to do some research on the ideas and what insurance covers, but it was encouraging to hear that there are still some options out there. Once thing she recommended was craniosacral therapy, another was myo-fascial therapy. Anyone know anything about either one? We also took him off of the arnica remedy because it was changing his personality. He was becoming sleepy, having an increase in appetite, and generally not himself. He hasn't had a bad migraine since May 3, only smaller headaches that seem to appear right before bedtime. I'm not sure if these are really headaches or just that he's so sleepy he can't see straight! We did a blood test to see if he has any delayed food allergies. We won't know those results for a month. It still makes me sad to think that he has to deal with these 'adult' problems. Heaven, hurry up please!

have you tried a chiropractor? my kids have been going since they were babies. our chiropractor also specializes in nutritional wellness. we go to him as our "primary" doc. LMK if you want his #. I think he might even do a free consult- not sure tho....
ReplyDeleteAmy, we are currently seeing an upper cervical chiropractor. Been going to him for a year. The headaches seem to be a little less frequent, but not less intense. It's something I guess, but he's expensive and it's not close by - we're not sold on the benefits, yet. Especially Tim :)
ReplyDeleteglad he's going but that's understandable that Tim is not sold. Dr. Elder is great at combining the physical problem with nutrition (which is usually at the root). He is on Page Ave just off of 270. might be worth looking into- just a thought. NOT pushing :)
