1 Year!

My baby is one year old...already!  What a fast year it has been.  Seems with every child each passing year goes by more quickly.  Maria Joy was born on Friday, July 17, 2009.  She weighed 9lbs 5oz and was 22.5 inches long.  She was our biggest newborn!  She was perfect in every way including a full head of long black hair.  We brought her home on Tuesday, July 21 and she immediately fell into the Muehleisen family bringing many smiles each day. 

Now a year later she is still bringing smiles to our faces.  She loves to make her siblings laugh and knows how to do it.  She has a smile where she wrinkles her nose and squints her eyes that is priceless.  She can crawl, pull up, clap, drink from a cup, feed herself finger food, dance, sleep through the night, wear her hair in pigtails, scream with a shrill voice and laugh.  She loves to eat pizza and peas with her 13 teeth and drink milk, but is allergic to peanuts.  She was named so appropriately.  She is now 22.1 lbs and 30.5 inches making her our smallest one year old.  She's still in 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers. 

Can't wait to see what the next year brings for Maria and our family.  I pray it is "immeasurably more than all we could ask or imagine" (Eph 3:20).  Each year has brought more blessings than we thought possible.  Maria is one of those blessings.  Happy Birthday, baby!
