This morning we had our "2nd annual Hot Cocoa stand" to raise money for '100 Neediest Cases' in St. Louis. The kids have been looking forward to this morning for a while now. We set up a little table at the end of our driveway and had some boiling water hooked up to a propane tank with little packets of Hot Cocoa all ready to serve to any generous passerby. We put smiles on a lot of people's faces, but not many people stopped. Only about 4 - but that's OK. We still had a great time and the kids are learning about giving to others.
Notice the hot water boiling? It was HOT!
Annie was just a little grumpy at the beginning because someone else carried the cups outside that she had apparently laid claim too. Oh well - she got over it when she got to sample some of the goods :)
Two things I didn't get pictures of that I wish I would have: a lady leaning all the way out of her window handing Ahren some change and our friends the VonderBruegge's that came over to help out! Thanks Erin, John, Charlie and Annie!
