Spring Break

I'm not sure how most teacher's families spend their spring break, but I have a feeling that my family is different. We started building an addition last year, and since we're (and when I say 'we', I mean my husband and his father) doing all the work ourselves, it's not completed yet. So, the project this week was to connect the plumbing from the existing house to the addition. This is currently the view I see when I open my basement door.



Yes, that is my washer and dryer. Thankfully I got all the laundry for the week done before the mud overtook the floor!

We did do a few fun things. We went to Purina Farms with my parents:




Lydia got to milk the cow. She was the only one brave enough to try.

We took the kids bowling and went to Pizza Hut. Eating out is a big treat for us as a family of 6!




There are 3 days of spring break left. Currently dad is with the older two at the dentist! Who scheduled this spring break anyway?? Tomorrow is our Wagon Train family day and Lydia's birthday party. Maybe it will end well...if only the mud in my basement would magically disappear!
